Ride to Live

I think you would find a great group struggling with the same questions as you in the CCC group (Cyclists Combatting Cancer) www.ridetolive.org. I haven't had a chance to go, but every year a group of CCCers gathers in Austin for the Ride for the Roses 'come what may' and they do the Century together. It takes place every fall...there may be some photos from it on the website. I am mostly a lurker on the CCC list, but there are lots of great folks on the listserv...who talk both about their love of and experiences of cycling and the challenges they face with cancer in their lives....their ups and their downs. The CCC motto is "ride to live".
They also sell some cool bikeware. I have one of the bike shirts.
